A warm welcome to your furry friends
The Queens Hotel is one of a few hotels in the Westcountry that openly welcomes dogs and other pets.
For those who consider their pets to be family members, then The Queens Hotel is the ideal place for making your whole family feel at home. West Cornwall is an excellent place to bring dogs, and other pets, with miles of beaches and remote moors leading to abandoned tin mines and ancient monuments to explore.
Dogs are especially welcome at The Queens Hotel, and water bowls are placed to prevent our furry friends from getting too dry. We also have a pet supplies delivery service to the hotel. Clemo’s can supply anything from pet food to clothing and other accessories by visiting the website (click here) or by calling 01736 787877.
When it comes to dog walking, you are really spoilt for choice. While the more popular bathing beaches don’t allow dogs from Easter Sunday to October 1, there are plenty of other beaches that allow dogs all year round. To see a complete list of dog-friendly beaches click here.
The Queens Hotel has its own resident canines – labradors Logan and Murphy and Jack Russell terriers Cleo and Bilbo – who are in the hotel most days, and welcome new friends.
Please ask at the hotel reception for information on the best places in the area for dog walking, we’d be only to happy to help.
Pictured (right) are Logan and Murphy – The Queens Hotel labradors – enjoyed a run at Kenidjack, and area of moorland, near Penzance, popular with dog walkers. Below are Murphy and Logan playing in the sand and surf at Sennen.
If you require a dog walking service, then we recommend Penzance Pet Care who will take great care of your four-legged friend. Please call 07733 278298 or visit www.penzancepetcare.co.uk for more information.
If your pet is in need of grooming after a tumble on the beach or on the moors, then Curly Tails offers a prompt service. When calling, if you mention you are from The Queens Hotel, they will make sure your request goes to the top of the queue as they are popular and, hence, quite busy. Call 01736 448 011 or visit www.curlytailsdoggrooming.co.uk for more information.
While we’re on the subject of dog walks, as we said Sennen beach and the surrounding area is great for dog walks. The Beach Restaurant (www.thebeachrestaurant.com) is a great restaurant overlooking Sennen beach, with ample parking (although the car park can get busy in the summer) and welcomes dogs on its large sun-kissed balcony.
