"Stayed at Queens Hotel for a weekend break alone , travelled by train which is a lovely picturesque way to see the southwest. Staff made me feel welcome and comfortable travelling as a solo woman from Australia, Dinner in their dining room was delicious with a limited menu of local product but beautifully cooked and fresh. No single supplement charged and dogs welcome

It used to be that if you travelled alone you got penalised.

At The Queens Hotel there are no supplements to pay for either single rooms or sole occupancy of a twin, depending on the type of room available when you book.

Our single rooms have the same general standard of facilities as our twin rooms.

We are also dog friendly so understand that many people who travel alone have a special friend they do not want to leave at home.

Although dogs are not allowed in our restaurant you are more than welcome to dine in our Tudor Bar and Sun lounge where your dog can join you. Or if you wish you can dine in your own room with our room service.
